Current Favorites - Foundation

Hola Chicas / Chicos!

Getting back into the blogging world has been a little more difficult than I was hoping for. 😩 Since I take my own photos, a wireless remote has been my partner in crime for the past couple of years. Somehow, my little clicker stopped working and I've been on the hunt for a new one. I use a Canon T3i, any suggestions will be amazing!

Moving on to today's post! So I've decided to start a new section on the blog sharing new and old favorites. I'm thinking of updating these once a month. On these posts I will share anything and everything (food, places, makeup, hair, skin care, clothes, etc..).

Today, I decided to share my two favorite foundations. Like most, I've tried tons and tons of foundations. From pressed powders to loose powders, to stick and liquid. the options are honestly never ending and sometimes quite confusing and overwhelming. Some I loved while others I hated.

First, I'd like to share a little bit about my skin. We all have different skin types meaning not all foundations out there will work for you. I have oily acne prone skin. Since I deal with breakouts, I am always left with scars, dark spots that take ages to dissapear 🙄. With my current skin concerns I noticed that a liquid medium to full coverage foundation provides the best results at covering up my current breakouts, as well as the scars. I also have to pay attention and make sure the foundation will be able to control the excess oils on my skin. This is very important, so I can avoid looking like a grease pan and getting even more breakouts.

#1 - L'Oreal Paris Infallibile Pro-Matte Foundation

I absolutely LOVE this foundation! It goes on smoothly, looks surprisingly natural, keeps me oil free and the best part is that it stays on all day. When I say all day...I mean it. I've slept in this (total accident, I promise! sorry skin! 🙈) and I wake up with it still looking decent. My pillow...not so much lol. This was the very first drugstore foundation I tried and I was not disappointed at all. I'll admit it, I used to never buy drugstore products because I thought they would not compare to higher end ones. Let's just say that 60% of the makeup products I use now are from the drugstore. Great quality at a fraction of the price. I mean $10 dollars, no one can beat this price.

#2 - Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

This used to be my holy grail. The name explains exactly what this foundation does, it stays in place all day. I used to use it every day, before I got bored and decided to try and find new foundations. We all do it, no matter how much we love ours, we always want to try more and more lol. Once I found the L'Oreal foundation, I realized this was a little too heavy to wear every day. Don't get me wrong, I still love this foundations, just not for my daily routine. I don't want you to think that it will feel like you have a mask on because you won't. It will give you a full coverage, while looking natural. Since the price of this one is higher ($40), I like to use it on special occasions or when I want that EXTRA coverage it provides.

Aside from all the reading, I hope this post helps you get an idea on these two products. Let me know if you've ever tried these before and what you think of them. Did it work for you or did you hate it? What's your favorite foundation at the moment? I'd love to hear and maybe even try a few!

Flashback To October 2015

Happy Friday Loves!

Can you believe this is the last Friday of 2016?!?! This year has honestly flown by, it feels like the year just started and we are already saying goodbye to it. I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited for 2017. I'm hoping for a lot more blogging, as well as a lot of good change in my life.

For the last post of the year and one of my very few posts for this year 😏, we are going all the way back to October 2015! I shot this look, but never got around to posting it. I went through a very uninspired year. I lost a lot of the love and passion I had towards my hobbies and interest. This is one of the reasons my blog became so silent. On a much brighter note, my main goal is to get back into doing the things I love and make me happy. One of those things is blogging more!

This is the type of look you see me wear non stop during the fall / winter months. So simple, so comfy. The time I took these photos I had just purchased these Coach booties. Since then I've worn them to death! This was one of the best additions to my wardrobe.

Peace Out Loves, See you in 2017!

Off The Shoulder

Hola Chicas / Chicos!

Can you believe it has been almost a year since I posted a look?!
I cannot express how much I've missed doing this. Once you start blogging and meet so many great people, it's hard to just stop doing it all together. I feel like this break was well needed, but it's time to get back into the blogging world.

Let's move on to today's look. Off the shoulder anything is back in style and I could not be happier. I found this adorable, yet super comfortable dress at Marshalls (surprise! lol). Today, I decided to add these wedges from Lucky Brand (really comfy, once you break them in. I have scars to prove it) to dress the look up a bit more. I finished it off with very little jewelry. The crazy temperate in Virginia forces me to keep things as simple as possible. And of course, we can not forget about the Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. I've been wearing this bag non-stop for the last month or so.

Ease Into Classics

It's been way too long since I last updated the blog. I have missed and lost any sort of skill I once had.   It's been so long, I don't even know how to use my camera anymore. So, excuse the bad photos and most of all the awkward poses!
I have a love/hate relationship with the beginning of fall. One minute its freezing, the next you are burning up and regret brining out you cold weather clothes. That's why I am a big fan of classic transitional pieces. A light oversized sweater, dark jeans, flats, and a leather jacket. Easy to layer up in the cold mornings and easy to take off for warmer afternoons.

I also want to share my latest love. yes...another handbag! They are my weakness! This beauty is by Rebecca Minkoff. I treated myself for my birthday and splurged on the perfect fall bag. What do you think? you like???
