Ease Into Classics

It's been way too long since I last updated the blog. I have missed and lost any sort of skill I once had.   It's been so long, I don't even know how to use my camera anymore. So, excuse the bad photos and most of all the awkward poses!
I have a love/hate relationship with the beginning of fall. One minute its freezing, the next you are burning up and regret brining out you cold weather clothes. That's why I am a big fan of classic transitional pieces. A light oversized sweater, dark jeans, flats, and a leather jacket. Easy to layer up in the cold mornings and easy to take off for warmer afternoons.

I also want to share my latest love. yes...another handbag! They are my weakness! This beauty is by Rebecca Minkoff. I treated myself for my birthday and splurged on the perfect fall bag. What do you think? you like???

Happy Tuesday! hope you guys have had a lovely past couple of days. Today's post is very, very simple. If it had been me before, I probably wouldn't have posted this. Better yet, I probably wouldn't have taken photos. You guys know, if you read one of my recent post, that I wanted to stop sort of portraying something I'm not or copying others just because I thought they were more successful. Well back then I used to sometimes change what I was actually wearing, just so my outfits seemed a little more fashionable. I'm not saying I always did this, but I allowed that mindset to influence me to not share my true outfit of the days, which is the whole reason I started this blog. Well... I caught myself staring at my closet after work, trying to see what I should change to make this look more fashionable. Truth is, this is what I actually wore this day.

I wore this a about a week ago (insert rap song that I obviously don't really listen to, but everyone seems to sing it when you say 'about a week ago' lol). Anyhow, I wore this to work with my black Sam Edelman Gigi sandals, that I love, but need in ever color of the rainbow. I added my New York & Company wedges, because I thought it pulled the look together and that's how I wish  had worn it, if I wasn't so freaking insecure about my height! Hope you guys like this quick and not super fashionable look, I just wanted to make sure you guys knew I was still here!

Mirrored Maxi

My love for maxis seems to grow more and more every time I wear them. I've been wearing this American Eagle maxi non-stop ever since I got my hands on it, about a month and half ago. Maxis are the perfect piece to just slip into and look put together, with no extra effort. They are versatile yet comfortable. This color pulled my attention, because first I didn't have any like it in my closet and because I can wear it well into the fall with some booties and a sweater over it. Versatility, something we all look for in any piece we buy.
Virginia doesn't seem to help in the heat/humidity department. It has been disgustingly hot out, so simple has been my go to. Although I would love to see this dress with a statement necklace and maybe a denim vest, I went with as little jewelry as I could, without going completely naked. I don't know about you guys, but I have to have at least my watch and some earrings no matter what.
What's your go to piece for those crazy hot summer days? Leave a comment below, I'd love to hear yours!! I'm in need of some hot weather outfit inspo.

Half Buns, Polka Dots & Decisions

I'm finally back!! I've been on a two month break from blogging and I miss it way too much. The whole reason for this is due to some changes and choices I wanted to make, both in my life outside of the blog, as well as inside.
I started Wendy's Care To Wear, to share my love for fashion and style. But my thoughts quickly became clouded, I really hope to grow Wendy's Care To Wear. I really want to do some amazing things because of this blog and because of my love for this industry. But everything comes to you when it's meant to be, I started to focus on the numbers of likes, visits to my page and followers. Because of this I would compare myself to other bloggers out there and would try to make my post look like theirs because of the fact that they were more successful. All that did was make blogging feel like a job, not something I love doing. I took this break to step back from it all and look at it with a fresh mind set. To remember the reason why I started blogging and stop comparing myself to the billions of blogs out there.

I'm taking this first post, of many more, as a new beginning for Wendy's Care To Wear. To share my ideas, style and anything else that comes to mind. I hope for this blog to grow and change, as I continue to grow and experience many different new things in my life. Hope you guys continue on this blogging journey with me! :)

Here is a quick look at what I wore a few days ago, I have to get the hang of shooting and posing for the camera again. ;)
